autumn leaves

autumn leaves
they lie on the ground
i hear laughter in one
loud tear drops in another
some delicious whispers
that melt in ears
like roasted marshmallows
in campfires
of silhouettes shaped by
the shades of shadows
sung by the moon
other bitter screams
that strike the heart
like spears spilling life
in rotting fields
of blackness from
spells of fairies
without souls
still some from somewhere
passing by silently
solitude without a smile
these autumn leaves
hold you and me
for a times time
‘til they feed
the hungry ground
with lives
to funeral
lyre
